Privacy

Your information

Vehicle Log stores your account details, vehicles, maintenance, ownership records, documents and notification preferences so you can use them across devices. Vehicle records and files are private to your account unless you share a vehicle.

Sharing

Owners decide who can view or edit a vehicle. Documents are included by default; owners can revoke document or vehicle access. Revocation stops future access through Vehicle Log. A copy someone already downloaded remains on their device.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication, the database and private file storage in the EU. Vercel hosts the web app and may process requests and operational logs outside the EU. Screen-visit analytics remove record identifiers and query strings from page URLs. Google sign-in uses your basic identity and verified email when enabled. Resend handles account and reminder emails when email delivery is enabled. Encrypted recovery copies are stored in a private GitHub repository.

Notifications and device storage

Push notifications use your browser’s delivery service after you grant permission. You can disable them in Settings. Optional expiry emails require opt-in. Essential session cookies keep you signed in. V1 requires an internet connection to save records; it does not queue offline changes.

Your choices

You can edit records, export your data, stop sharing or delete your account. Deleting your account removes vehicles you own and their active records. Contributions to someone else’s vehicle remain with that owner.

Daily encrypted backups retain the latest 30 successful snapshots for recovery. Deleted information may remain in those restricted copies until they rotate out. A recovery must reapply later account deletions before access is reopened.

Use Support for access, correction, deletion or privacy questions.
